Huntersville Christmas Lights is a synchronized musical display at our home in Huntersville, NC. The display contains over 21,000 LED lights and features traditional Christmas lights, intelligent lights, color washing on the house and strobe lights all choreographed to Christmas music. In 2013, we won a national award for “Most Creative Display.”
For the 2014 show, we added a new song to the rotation of the two popular songs from the 2013 show, along with all new sound effects, and we're collecting donations for A Child’s Place.
The 2013 display went 100% LED and featured all new music, intelligent lights around the doors, windows and columns, four colors on the fence and tree along with crystal clear audio.
The 2012 display featured 7x more animation, 7' tall Bethlehem Star and 11 giant snowflakes on the roof, 4 colors on the roof lines, color washing on the house and a nativity scene.
The 2011 display was the first year with an animated display.
Huntersville Christmas Lights sits on top of a hill in a cul-de-sac in a residential subdivision. Please park with no more than 4 cars at a time viewing the show in front of our home to allow our neighbors access to their homes and allow access for emergency vehicles. Below are tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit:
This year we’re collecting donations for A Child’s Place, a local charity that works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education. They provide stable, appropriate education to homeless students and services to their families to ensure long term stability and self sufficiency. A Child’s Place is one hundred percent privately funded, and they count on donations from people like you. One hundred percent of your donations will go to A Child’s Place and stay within the Charlotte Mecklenburg community.
We have surpassed our goal of $750 for A Child’s Place, and we aren’t stopping anytime soon. Donations can be placed in the red donation box or online. Online donations may be matched by your employer.
As of Dec. 20, you have given $1434.31 to A Child’s Place!
The lights are on and will be shining until New Years Eve!
For everyone’s safety, the show may be canceled in heavy rain. Cancellations are rare and are posted on Facebook.
The display is located at 13513 Melrose Meadow Lane in the Harvest Pointe subdivision off Old Statesville Road in Huntersville, NC.
